OK Edith, I'll accept your math - in Rehe we were the "Rehe 15", not 16.
No Ted Zerbst was not the place of birth of Catherine the Great. Remember the game we played when we were young (of course you were young at a different time than when I was young) in which one would be told whether one was: "cold", "warm" or "hot"? Well you are hot but not correct. Does that count? Check a Google map such as Catherine the Great Birthplace.
I am puzzled why my entry earlier this morning was not reproduced in its entirety. Much of it was about Mariawohl and much more. I believe it still appears in the Blog Archive but am a bit puzzled. Is our editor particularly strict about what gets included and what does not get included?
Just for clarification for me.

I acknowledge that a Google search will produce the name of the city of Catherine's birth, but it appears that the city (Stettin) was within the principality of Anhalt-Zerbst. Would it not then be accurate to state that she was born in Zerbst?
