Johann Dueck (our 2nd cousin from Germany) is at the top of the demolished building, which has a basement, which we were told is an original house, as the Ukrainian people did not build basements. Pictured assessing the possibilities are (from left): Angelika Fransen holding a tile that she found, David Fransen, Fred Fransen, Johann Dueck, Barbara Fransen, Sharon Fransen. Was there consensus that this must be (could be) the house of our ancestors, Nicholas & Maria (Wichert) Fransen, and hence the place where, Elizabeth (Andres), Nick, Mary, Anna, Catherine (Harder), Henry, Lena and Jake were born?

Mariawohl - is this the spot ... where Nicholas & Maria (Wichert) Fransen lived?
