Edith, that picture of Sharon, David and Jeff inside the Schoensee church, I think has got to be one of the best, if not the best to umbrella our Ukraine experience in our ancestral villages, in this case Schoensee. Perhaps a picture of the seven year old twins Hanah and Katie could match it. It should be seen side by side with an exterior one of the church in the days of its glory..

This was a place where David's grandparents were married; the church where Sharon's grandmother who was also your and my mother Tina Klassen Fransen was baptized and the church where Aeltester Alexander Ediger composed music, had his choir perform "The Messiah" and was a young theologian of note.
I wish someone could interpret the "green shoots" growing so beautifully inside the now decaying building. A hint of something to come? Only God knows.
