When we returned from our 2007 visit to Mariawohl, Edith asked us if we happened to have encountered the resident at the edge of town. What a small world. Anatoliy Emtsev (aka Kutz) seems to be coming up in lots of photos. Here he is talking with our group. We had no idea then (2007) that he had a connection with the Fransens, nor did he know that we were Fransens. Also in the photos to the right are Richard Block (Esther's brother), Viktor Penner (our guide), and Carolyne and Gord Epp-Fransen.
