Thank you for taking the initiative for this "report" in progress. It seems to me that this can/will in time give each person an opportunity to report their impressions etc of the nearly two week trip that we made to Rehe/Germany and Zaporosche/Ukraine. Furthermore it also allows those who did not travel to Rehe/Zaporosche to inquire regarding the many different aspects of the trip.
Another by-product might well be the arousing of interest for further similar explorations. I have already had an inquiry from a close relative about a return trip to Ukraine to visit "ancestral villages." There may also be interest in the upcoming conference in Novosibirsk, Siberia next spring on the subject of "Mennonites in Siberia." Can you imagine Mennonites planning to go to Siberia voluntarily? This sounds like an oxymoron when one considers how many of our people, including close relatives were sent to Siberia, often never to return or be heard from again.
